TUTURIAL - HOW TO SET UP YOUR OWN ONLINE BUSINESS
Step 1 - Get yourself a server
If you do not have a server or a web hosting account you can choose the cheapest here:
http://www.top10bestwebsitehosting.com/. You can also have some completely free hosting as:
https://www.wix.com. Here you can make your page but, you can't choose the domain as you wish.
Step 2 - Get yourself a domain
You can register a domain at the same time when you register the hosting account. To check avaliable domains
go here: https://www.regica.net/en/, and to get yourself a decent domain name, go to:
http://www.nameboy.com/.
Step 3 - Create a new database in your server
Follow the instructions at:
http://support.hostgator.com/articles/cpanel/how-do-i-create-a-mysql-database-a-user-and-then-delete-if-needed#database
Step 4 - Insert data into your new database
-In the control panel of your host provider find phpMyAdmin and click on that.
-Choose the database you've created, click on SQL tab to Run SQL query.
-In the LeadsLeap List Builder look for a file named 'sql.txt'.
-Copy everything in that file and paste all into the form "Run SQL query".
-When you click the Go button you should have your database inserted.
Step 5 - Edit the 'connectdb.php' file
In the LeadsLeap List Builder look for a folder called 'the script - for new install'.
In the folder, you will find a file named 'connectdb.php'. Open it with Notepad.
Your job now is to edit the first 3 parameters, namely DBname, DBusername and
DBpassword which you have just set in Step 3, and save the file.
Step 6 - Upload files into your server
Next you have to upload all the files and folders in the folder 'the script - for new install',
including the edited connectdb.php, to your server, but you have to upload the files in binary mode.
The easiest way to upload many files to your server is by using an FTP software and my favorite
free FTP software is FileZilla Client: https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?show_all=1
After download the software you will have to enter the Host, Username and Password to login to your server.
Host is your domain url, username and password are the username and password that you used to
login to your server control panel.
When you are logged in to your server, you should see a www folder. Before uploading,
you have to set the transfer mode to binary. Go to Transfer > Transfer type > Binary.
Step 7 - Login to the admin back office
Go to: http://yourdomain.com/admin/ to login to your admin back office.
By default, you can login with these details: username = admin, password = admin.
If you can login, it means your database is set up correctly. Setting script to your business
is done on the home page.
Step 8 - Set up the cron job
A cron job is simply a process that executes certain command at specific dates and time.
It is required in order to run the autoresponder everyday. To set up the cron job simply
send an email to the support department of your server and ask them to do it for you.
If you still face problem and need someone to do the installation for you, LeadsLeap can do it
for $30/install. For other issues LeadsLeap PRO members will receive free support.
