Very soon we shall be adding new access numbers, but for now we hope you enjoy using the new portal.
As you are fully aware, Sky recently decided to block access to our number ranges, including our 0845 & 0870 numbers. On 15th March we received formal notice (via our partners) that Sky are refusing to pay all the calls to our numbers for the month on February. Therefore we cannot release your February units. It is more than likely also that March units will follow in the same way.
One thing which we didn't expect was that we also received notice that TalkTalk too have also issued us with a formal notice (via our partners) that they are refusing to release funds for calls made in the month of February, this means that we cannot release units from TalkTalk either. We suspect that Sky and TalkTalk are in network partnership with one another which explains why some users were able to still make calls when others were blocked, however TalkTalk have not blocked access to our numbers.
Cash4minutes have been providing service for 3 years. We first encountered problems from EE and then Virgin Media and unfortunately now Sky and TalkTalk refusing to pay us. It is only a matter of time until the other providers follow suit but we have no idea how long this will be, if at all.
So what next for C4M?
We won't just switch off the website as there are still plenty of ways to earn by calling our numbers. As always, it is down to you to find other ways and means of calling. We are however now going to focus our attention on challenging both Sky and TalkTalk on their decision to refuse to release funds to us and there are various options available to us. We try and discuss with them initially and if that fails then we can take the matter to Ofcom and if this fails then we consider legal action. This all takes time and we would appreciate you bearing with us during this difficult time. We will try our very best to get your units for you but it could take many months. If we were to consider going down the legal route then this could cost us tens of thousands of pounds (maybe more) and with a high risk of losing involved. It is very difficult taking on large corporate companies.
During this process we have taken the decision to stop new sign-ups as we do not want the phone companies accessing our site and realising that C4M is the product behind all the calls. If they become aware of this then we stand little chance of being successful in this dispute.
If you are able to still call our numbers then this is entirely up to you whether you continue to call our UK numbers but there is a high risk that you will not be paid. We will be updating your pending units over the next week or two and we will do this once Sky and TalkTalk have supplied us with call data of those affected which is how we're able to identify which user is on which network. We keep being asked which networks are still OK to use but we are not always made aware of which providers are the best. However we'd suggest BT, Post Office, Plusnet, Origin, John Lewis are ones which may work. | Edit. : 30/03/2017 22:55:36
We have finally added over 120 new countries to the C4M portal.
This offers plenty of new opportunities for you to call the new numbers and earn extra cash.
Before calling the numbers, you should make sure that your calling plan allows it and that you are not being charged a higher amount than the payout rate for the access number, otherwise your provider may charge you.
We are always looking for new ways for you to earn and will continue to provide updates to the portal.
Thank you for using C4M.
The C4M Team.
