The affiliation is one of the best ways to monetize a website or an application but it is profitable only in the case of a niche topic because before offering a product in affiliation you must know the needs of your visitors.
The sine qua non condition of a successful campaign of this kind is good targeting your "customers".
Live campaign VERSUS affiliate platform, what differences?
Do not hide it, an affiliate network connects advertisers and publishers: this work deserves, governance therefore takes a commission which automatically decrease that of the editor.
This last statement is not quite true: the large volumes generated by an authority may allow them to negotiate good prices with advertisers : at the end the commission gap with a live campaign is sometimes thin or nonexistent.

Working with multiple boards allows access to many major campaigns although this create fragmented payments and can bring down your cash wallet.
Specialized platforms can be in different ways:
- in a thematic content (such as Gambling Affiliation, specializing in gambling)
- in a type of monetization : %, CPA, CPL, CPC, CPM or hybridization of these models.
- or in a display type: mailing, display classic, website-under ...
- Generalist platforms display in one place campaigns of all types. This is what is painful with this way to monetize their site, we sometimes spend a lot of time looking campaigns that stick with our audience everywhere.
