IOTA made a name for itself in June 2017, after having raised $ 3 million during its ICO, its marketcap increased to more than $ 1 billion following its introduction on exchanges.
IOTA seeks to support the new possibilities offered by the development of connected objects.
It highlights an evolution of the blockchain technology, the Tangle ("tangle") which no longer uses blocks that must be mined and therefore allows transfers at no cost.
This advance makes micro-transactions viable and opens new doors. For example, thanks to IOTA you could rent or sell easily and freely any connected object or resource produced by a connected object: tool, drone, energy from solar panels, unused computing power of computers, bandwidth WIFI, data storage location ...
