TenX is a company from the Paypal incubator in Singapore, and wants to propose a solution to the question: how to use my cryptocurrencies in everyday life?
TenX delivers a standard payment card, which can be used by all merchants thanks to its partnerships with VISA and MasterCard. With an application on your smartphone you choose with which crypto you will pay and the merchant receives the amount of the purchase in euros (or in local currency if you are abroad).
TenX is compatible with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dash and all ERC20 tokens (DGX, REP, NEO ...).
The card will cost you $ 15, its usage will be free if you spend more than $ 1,000 a year (otherwise you will be charged $ 10) and withdrawals from a ATM are charged a little over $ 2 (plus any fees of the ATM). Otherwise you have no fees, even abroad.
TenX is paid on the fees paid by the merchant to his bank. If you buy a product for $ 100, you pay $ 100, the merchant will receive $ 97 and the remaining $ 3 will be used to pay the players (Merchant Bank, your bank, VISA or MasterCard and TenX).
On these fees, TenX pays 0.50% of the amount of each transaction to all the owners of PAY tokens that allow the system to function and 0.10% to the person who made the purchase.
TenX wishes to obtain its own banking license by 2020 and no longer have to go through VISA and MasterCard.
Other projects have the same objective: Monaco, TokenCard. It remains to be seen which will prevail and will become the standard for the years to come.
