Six Flags Over Texas is the first park of the Six Flags group, owner of twenty parks around the world.
It was established in 1961 near Dallas by a financier who made a fortune in real estate and oil after visiting the Disneyland Park opened in 1955 in California.
The park grew very quickly and was the first in the 60's to create two classic attractions : logs and the mine train.
Following an agreement with Warner in 1985, the Six Flags group parks use the image of characters like the Looney Tunes or Batman.
