Reason : Closed website
In the morning of June 30, 2018, while out, i tried to confer my Red River Investments (RRI) BTC balance from my mobile device.
Got stunned with the recurrent message on the lower left corner of the screen "Your login attempt has unfortunately failed". Checked the correctness of my 12 characters password a number of times with no results.
Very distressed i, then, remembered something: At home i left an open session with RRI website in my personal computer!
Went home as quick as possible and yes, the session was still open! When clicked Settings i noticed my current email address had been changed to askjuauyidsadfkjs@XXXXXX. Tried to enter a new email address (my real address) and clicked "Submit new changes". Got the following message "Email confirmation for updating your email address has been sent to askjuauyidsadfkjs@XXXXXX". Well, if they are sending an email asking for confirmation, another email should have been sent to my real email address at the time of the first change. Got to another computer, checked my real mailbox and nothing was there related to RRI!
Then i thought: What if i try to check if i can create the email account askjuauyidsadfkjs@XXXXXX? Navigated to web.de and voila, they have free email accounts! Problem: From my location IP they do not allow free email accounts. No problem, found a VPN provider (first 200MB free) connected to Frankfurt, Germany, and started filling the sign up form at web.de (I used an hotel address as my address in Germany!). And surprise: That stupid email address was available! Everything gone fine, i was able to create my email account! Returned to the computer with the RRI open session and tried again to enter my real address, clicked "Submit new changes", got the message that an email was sent, returned to the other computer to check inbox at web.de, refreshed a number of times and nothing, no message from RRI! At this point i was starting to understand THIS WAS A DELIBERATE PROCEDURE CARRIED OUT BY RRI TO really STEAL my digital assets!
Then i remembered of one last possibility: What if i try the "Forgot password?" link at the RRI website? Filled the field with my username, clicked "Submit reset" and a message appeared on the lower left corner of the screen "Your password reset has been successfully sent. Please confirm the link in your email inbox.". But no, no message in the inbox at web.de. Tried also to fill the field with the email askjuauyidsadfkjs@XXXXXX and clicked "Submit reset" and got message "You have already made a request for your password reset". This message confirmed they really have that address associated to my account in their server. As i understood you must wait 1 hour between requests for a password reset. Naturally tried (still trying) this procedures many times but, in spite of RRI saying an email was sent, no email was ever sent!
By the way, my open session was lost some 24 hours later.
Just to check if RRI really sends email messages related to email address changes and forgotten passwords, i created a new account, just for testing, at RRI and yes, they really send those emails!
Somehow their server knows the email askjuauyidsadfkjs@XXXXXX is supposed to be fake so no emails sent.
So, my conclusion is that their PONZI SCHEMA cannot support fat accounts. Probably THEY EXECUTE THIS DIRTY PROCEDURE in their server database targeting fat accounts from people outside UK, people unable to appeal to the UK authorities.
Of course i complained a number of times to their support@XXXXXXvestments without any answer.
